Prompt-run measurement
AI Visibility for brands that want to be cited
AI Visibility is what Datvix records when it runs your prompts on an answer engine and stores the result. It is not the crawl health score, and it is not the crawl-based GEO readiness score.
What a measurement is
You save prompts and run them from the product. Datvix keeps the latest successful observation for each eligible prompt. A mention is the stored brand flag on that observation. Datvix does not rescan the answer text when you open the dashboard.
ChatGPT, through OpenAI, is the answer engine Datvix measures from successful prompt runs in this release. Other providers can appear in the product as unconfigured, failing, or not yet measured. Configuration is not a successful measurement, and those providers do not inherit ChatGPT’s mentions, citations, sentiment, or score. Microsoft Copilot is not a measured engine. Datvix does not scrape consumer chats, and it does not track Google AI Overviews.
Mentions, citations, and competitors
Brand mentions count eligible observations where the brand was mentioned. Coverage is that mention count divided by the eligible prompts in the measurement. Mentions and coverage are different numbers.
Citations are the URLs stored on those observations. The raw citation count, the number of unique cited pages, the average per eligible observation, own-domain citation coverage, and own-domain citation share are separate. A citation of another site still counts in the raw total and does not count as your domain.
Competitors that you track can enter share of voice. Share of voice is your mentions divided by your mentions plus tracked-competitor mentions. If you have not tracked competitors, share of voice is unavailable. Datvix does not show 100% in that case. Names that appear in an answer but are not tracked stay out of the calculation. This is not Google search share.
The visibility score
The AI Visibility score averages the eligible answers Datvix actually measured in the selected range. A prompt score can reflect a stored mention, a defensible rank, stored citations, and stored sentiment. It is separate from the SEO health score and from crawl GEO readiness.
A position is shown only when a defensible rank was stored. A missing rank is not treated as first place or as zero. When there is no successful eligible observation, the score, coverage, and mention count are missing data, not a measured zero. A successful observation with no brand mention stays a real zero.

Questions
- Which answer engines does Datvix measure?
- Successful AI Visibility measurements in this release come from ChatGPT through OpenAI. Other providers may be listed as unconfigured, failing, or not yet measured. That listing is not a successful measurement. Copilot and Google AI Overviews are not measured engines.
- Does a blank score mean zero visibility?
- No. No successful eligible observation is missing data. A measured zero is a successful observation that did not mention the brand, or a citation count of zero on an observation that was actually stored.
- Is AI Visibility the same as the GEO score?
- No. The GEO score is crawl readiness, such as schema, FAQ-style content, and extractability. AI Visibility comes from prompt runs. The two scores are not substitutes.
